The story of life has no filter. It’s our first draft. It’s the rough copy.
My name is Katie and I don’t know what I’m doing. I know that’s not what I should be telling you; I’m supposed to pretend I’m an expert, right? The reality is this is my first try at life, and in the grand scheme of the universe my existential success will be defined by not making things worse than they already are or, in the best-case scenario, actually leaving this world somewhat better than it was when I arrived.
This blog is about green living This blog is about living a good life, which includes recycling, hugging the puppies,”DIY”ing, getting all zen and being nice to people. I should probably quote some Ghandi or make a profound Buddhist reference. But I won’t. I won’t because there are too many books, blogs and whatnot that make it all look too easy. I don’t know about you, but composting, rummaging through second-hand shops, convincing myself kale is delicious, avoiding nachos and not drinking on a Tuesday is HARD work. Living well is not as easy as an Instagramed Pinterest board makes it seem.
I’m going to try my best and give it to you straight. The story of life has no filter. It’s our first draft. It’s the rough copy.
